This centrally located public art piece by Dhruva Mistry is an interesting part of the downtown cityscape. The female figure represents the life force and has been locally coined "the floozie." Multi-functional design.

This statue was designed by William Bloye to memorialize these three industrialists of Birmingham. Boulton is remembered for the running of the Soho Manufactory, Watt for the improvement of the steam engine, and Murdock for the invention of gas lighting. The three are depicted as being engaged in a discussion of engines. This statue honors their work and the impact they had on the industrial revolution.

"Forward" is a statue by Birmingham native Raymond Mason which commemorates the progress made by the people of his home city. The statue has been the center of a national discussion of modern art. An interesting and thought-provoking public piece that should not be missed. #13;#10;#13;#10;"Industry and Genius ­ John Baskerville" honors Birmingham printmaker John Baskerville. Baskerville was the creator of a popular typeface that bears his name. The modern statue represents some of the most well known printings undertaken by him. Created by well-known artist David Patten.#13;#10;#13;#10;"Spirit of Enterprise," a bronze water fountain by Tom Lomax, is a central part of Centenary Square. The sections of the three-part piece represent Commerce, Enterprise and Industry. One of the many interesting modern art works that punctuate the square.

Site of the first Birmingham settlement in the seventh century. Settlers were drawn here by an abundance of water. The historic region now is a vibrant and integral part of the Birmingham economy and offers visitors an enlightening look into the growth and development of the city and its people.

This Thomas Brock-designed sculpture commemorates England's longest-ruling monarch. During refurbishment of the statue, "Ebony," the friendly dog of a workman, was a fixture near the statue. A small plaque marks the dog's cohabitation with the great queen. Visitors may enjoy trying to find the exact location of the marker near the statue.
