A celebration of transportation in the Midlands. Two large buildings shelter approximately 100 buses, vans, fire engines, and commercial vehicles. First begun in 1977, the collection is growing. Visitors are free to browse the latest additions and check the preservation status of various vehicles. During the year, the museum has days on which it offers rides, sells books and models, and stages photographic exhibitions.

A nod to Birmingham's coal-burning and iron-making days, this living museum recreates an Industrial Age village, complete with blacksmith, candy maker, and canal boats. Visitors trek through the 26-acre site or take trams to various exhibits of the region's past industries and see the former living quarters of Black Country inhabitants. A boat ride through local caverns is also available, and several restaurants provide refreshments to busy travelers. A good day trip.
